At the 2023 Beijing Service Trade Fair Beijing Traditional Chinese Medicine Innovation and Development Forum, Hubei Mengyang Pharmaceutical signed a cooperation agreement with TCMG Group (a traditional Chinese medicine supplier of Sutter Hospital) in the United States. Mengyang Pharmaceutical's related products will start the admission process at Sutter Hospital in the United States, and after approval, they can be clinically used in more than 20 hospitals under Sutter's umbrella.

Previously, Mengyang Pharmaceutical's related traditional Chinese medicine products had obtained permission from the US FDA to enter the US market as dietary supplements. According to the cooperation agreement signed this time, Mengyang Pharmaceutical's related products will soon undergo a post market safety re evaluation approved by Sutter's hospital IRB (Ethics Committee), which is equivalent to a data review before admission at the hospital level, and will take approximately 6 months to 1 year.

Officials from the Beijing Center for Traditional Chinese Medicine External Exchange and Technical Cooperation, the organizer of the Beijing Forum on Traditional Chinese Medicine Innovation and Development, stated that Mengyang Pharmaceutical's move is a beneficial exploration for traditional Chinese medicine to go global.

Sutter Hospital Group has 24 hospitals and 200 Western medicine clinics in Northern California, USA, with 12000 doctors, and is a large medical institution in the mainstream hospital system of the United States.

Li Ying, who serves as the Director of Integrated Medicine at the Berkeley Cancer Center at Sutter Hospital, said that in the disease treatment process of mainstream Western hospitals in the United States, patients have many demands for reducing treatment pain and improving quality of life. In this regard, Western medicine has limited methods, while traditional Chinese medicine has a clear effect. This is the original intention of our cooperation with Mengyang Pharmaceutical.

"The specific path and mode will continue to change, but the goal of entering mainstream medical institutions in the United States to serve Western populations and truly enhance the international competitiveness of traditional Chinese medicine will not change."
